Our ‘KINDRED SPIRITS: Exploring Interrelationships Between People, Places and Planet Earth, was an immersive and sensory group exhibition and the product of an experimental artist residency. Mahalo nui to the East Hawai’i Cultural Center Hawai’i Museum of Contemporary Art, the County of Hawai’i, Keaukaha One Youth Development, and NOVO Painting, who made this project possible.

‘Kindred Spirits’ addresses our collective global consciousness and commitment to permaculture as a critical tool in determining the future of our planet. This experiential collection of mixed-media installations, public murals and film embodies our shared empathy for one another and the will to act collectively to better serve the environments we are fundamentally reliant on. The ‘Kindred Spirits’ exhibition showcases artists of varying backgrounds and mediums to explore the points where art and environmentalism intersect, celebrating the diversity of ideas, cultures and people, and honoring our collective home, Planet Earth.
